Scorch is an interactive music score that lets you view, listen, and play along with your music. You can...
start and stop wherever you want
Tip: To
start at a specific note, just click on it.
slow down the tempo if you are having problems understanding a part
Refer to
the
Scorch web site
for more info
Note: Some unimportant features will not appear.
In order to view and play the arrangements, you will need to get the Sibelius Scorch plug-in. Your browser should automatically ask you if you want to download it. Alternately, you can get it from the Scorch web site.
| Play the Score - You can have the score play for you by using the simple VCR controls. | |
| Start Playing Anywhere - By clicking on a note, the music will start playing from that spot. This is useful for learning a specific passage or for simply bypassing multi-bar rests. | |
|
Tempo Control - You can slow the tempo down if you are having difficulty understanding how a part is played. |
|
Sound Quality - How realistic the sound is depends on the instruments available from your computer's sound card. It could sound pretty good - or it could sound pretty bad (things such as rim shots, rim taps, etc., will sometimes playback as weird sounds). Note that you are allowed to choose your playback device so, if you have more than one option, you can experiment. |
